Translator Tool

One thing we are especially proud of is our unique "translator tool" that can be used to have your local programmers or software company map and upload your data directly into eTrackCargo.com so that no re-keying will be required by your employees. The translator tool allows you to keep maintaining your data in the same manner while providing you with the ability to safely share data with other agents you may be working with even if they have a different type of software.If you are familiar with your software system, installation of the translator tool will take no more that 30 to 60 minutes, and only needs to be done once. There is no need to purchase any new software. To use our translator tool only an ODBC driver is needed, and if you work with windows you should have one already installed. Overview In order to use the eTrackCargo.com translator tool to upload your information directly from the database used by your operation’s software, you must first set up your connection and map the tables and fields from your database to the eTrackCargo.com database. Once this has been done, you will need to set up your users and then decide what criteria you want to use to determine what files will be uploaded to eTrackCargo.com. For subsequent updates all you will need to do is open the translator and click on Upload. You can change the upload criteria if you wish to meet specific requirements at any time. Installation When you receive the translator tool, open the attached file and this will launch the eTrackCargo.com translator installation wizard. Just follow the directions to complete the installation. You will also be provided a Help manual to guide you through installation and usage of the tool.
